Zion UCC bid farewell to it's Pastor, Rev. Deborah McBride on Sunday, January 26th, 2014. Pastor McBride is taking another opportunity in the Henderson, KY area and we wish her well in her future ministry. CLICK HERE... to see pictures from her final service at Zion UCC.

Zion's Annual Charity Luncheon looked like it might have been cancelled had it not been for the fearless "Frozen Chosen" that made it in to serve up a wonderful hot bowl of soup and sandwich to those folks who had planned on making the Charity Luncheon their plans for the day! Snow, sleet, freezing rain and fog did not deter the dedicated members who braved the weather to serve up the lunch! Thanks for the volunteers and to those guests who made it to our Annual Charity Luncheon!

Candies, dessert, cookies, cakes and more are were available for purchase at the church!

A hot, delicious bowl of soup and a ham sandwich hit the spot on this snowy, cold day!

The Charity Luncheon made over $1,600 which will be distributed to local charities!

Thanks Henderson for a FANTASTIC August Sale! Our thanks also go to the great volunteers who raised over $350 towards youth activities at Zion UCC!

Coffee House!

Special events happen all the time at Zion UCC and our recent Coffee House was no exception! There was music, poetry, laughter, fellowship, refreshments and more. CLICK HERE... to see pictures from this special event attended by over 60 people! 

Christmas is always a special time at Zion UCC! Our Sanctuary was decorated with Nativity Scenes, a Christmas tree with ornaments and a HUGE presentation of Poinsettias in honor of friends and family members of past and present Zion members.

Holidays are special times for us and Zion UCC can make your holidays a memorable time too. Join us during the Advent season for one of our special events.

Thanks to the many people who made Zion UCC's first Faith In project a success! There was turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casseroles, corn, appetizers, dinner rolls and lots of home made deserts! Not only did the 60+ people attending the dinner have more than enough to eat, but a large donation of food was made to the United Caring Shelter.

The Henderson Gleaner was also in attendance to record the event for a photo spread in the Gleaner and the Evansville Courier and Press. CLICK HERE... to see photos of the event!

Peace With Justice Weekend was held on October 12, 13 and 14, 2012. This was the 21st year that this event was held at Zion UCC! There were special speakers as well as music and special events. On Sunday, September 30, 2012, Zion UCC dedicated over 1500 items to be distributed to Food Pantries and Shelters in the Henderson-Evansville area! See the dedication ceremony pictures and read about the organizations that received food by clicking HERE.

Rev. Phil Hoy was installed as Pastor Emeritus on Sunday, September 16, 2012. It was a joyous celebration! Please click HERE to see more of the installation ceremony and the reception.
